I love real estate shows, especially Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles.
One of the common conversations these real estate agents have with their clients involves setting a fair price.
The sellers always have these grand dreams about how much their properties are worth and the real estate agents always have to talk them down to reality.
It must be a tough job to set the right price so a property doesn’t languish on the market before the inevitable price reduction.
I thought about this after seeing #1 on Roomvu’s latest top-9 list of expensive Burnaby properties in the first two weeks of December.
It’s at 3773 Burke St. and is somehow price at a staggering $4.5 million. It’s six bedrooms and two bathrooms on a 17,000-square-foot lot. I mean it’s not a bad house, but $4.5 million? Are you kidding me? It looks pretty old – maybe 1980s?
Is this wishful thinking or is this really where the market is at right now? Because if that’s where the market is then many buyers are in trouble.
